In the dimly lit gallery, a mast suspends a large office false ceiling slab covered with printer paper. Overhead lighting bathes the scene in a soft glow. This object is the memorial of the tertiary world, a world of abundant information that is disappearing at the dawn of a new era...” At a time when the boundaries between man and machine are blurring, certain physical spaces are losing their primary utility: office buildings once bustling, have now become obsolete and their imposing infrastructures stand as witnesses to a bygone era. On the occasion of the exhibition "Memorial of Data," Gauthier Demumieux of the Heger and Demumieux duo proposes a work that blends design, art, and architecture. Through this spatial object, the designer invites viewers to reflect on the profound implications of the paradigm shift and questions the future of the tertiary world.
